Southern North Sea

The Victor gas field, located in Southern North Sea, was in production from September 1984 to January 2016 and is currently decommissioned. Plugging and abandonment of the five former production wells from the platform was completed in 2016 and the  platform was decommissioned in 2019. A program for decommissioning the subsea well commenced in 2021 and was completed in 2024. The 16” pipeline to Theddlethorpe Gas Terminal (TGT) has been left in situ as per environmental guidance. The remaining decommissioning works involve the removal of four piles that were originally associated with the now removed wellhead protection structure, remediation of pipeline ends and subsequent burial with rock dumping, and finally removal of concrete mattresses and clearing of residual debris. For 2027 the scope is limited to environmental seabed surveys only with final close out occurring in 2028.

Status: Decommissioned
